From music and culture to philanthropy and entrepreneurship, Beyoncé’s impact as one of the world’s biggest entertainers runs deep.

The global superstar has announced that she has teamed up with Peloton, the world’s leading interactive fitness platform. According to a press release, the two have inked a unique, multi-year partnership deal rooted in the celebration of music — a central component of the Peloton class experience — and have also come up with pro-social initiatives to honor HBCUs across the U.S.

“I’ve been a Peloton member for several years, and I’m excited to partner with a company that helps people, young and old, be the best versions of themselves, in an innovative and adaptable way,” Beyoncé shared in a statement.

Unfortunately, this year’s Homecoming festivities are making virtual pivots due to the global pandemic. In response, Beyoncé and Peloton have created a series of themed workouts commemorating Homecoming season, a long-standing HBCU fall tradition that students gather for annually all over the country, a press release reports.

The goal behind these themed-workouts was to offer up Homecoming experiences to Peloton members via classes that span across multiple fitness categories, including indoor cycling, running, strength, bootcamp, yoga and meditation.

In addition to these classes, Beyoncé and Peloton also have plans to gift two-year Peloton digital memberships to students at 10 different HBCUs, which will provide full access to a library of fitness classes through the Peloton App that can be used with or without equipment.

According to a press statement from Peloton, the digital memberships will go to students at Bennett College, Clark Atlanta University, Grambling State University, Hampton University, Howard University, Morehouse College and Morehouse School of Medicine, Spelman College, Texas Southern University, and Wilberforce University, by the end of November.

“Peloton and I both believe that the power of music can help uplift, motivate and inspire those on their fitness journeys,” said Beyoncé in a statement. “I’m proud to celebrate the students at HBCUs with this donation, to encourage them to find and embrace their own wellness regimens.”

Additionally, Peloton will continue building relationships with each of these schools to develop long-term recruiting partnerships at both the internship and undergraduate levels.

Over the next few months, Beyoncé will work closely with Peloton to curate various classes across all workout disciplines and touch areas that are meaningful to her, including music, movement, fitness and wellness.

This new partnership with Beyoncé is part of Peloton’s strong commitment to continuously provide engaging and motivating experiences for its members. By leveraging its products, platform and expertise, Peloton aims to positively impact the average people’s health and well-being.

“Beyoncé’s commitment to empowerment and artistic expression is an inspiration to the entire Peloton community,” said Peloton’s Head of Music, Gwen Bethel Riley in a statement. “It is a privilege to be able to work closely with her and her extraordinary team to broaden access to our platform and collaborate on incredible offerings we think our members will love.”
