Ahead of the start of his NFL rookie season, Bryce Young has secured yet another partnership under his belt.
The Carolina Panthers quarterback signed a deal with Bojangles, according to CBS Sports. As both the fried chicken franchise and the 21-year-old’s team were founded in Charlotte, NC, the partnership appears to be a perfect fit. Along with familiarizing himself with the community, Young has already implemented Bojangles into his diet.
“I’ve been able to trust the strength and conditioning staff and the training staff at the organization,” Young told the outlet. “This was something that we had talked about having sustainable meals that could help me in my training and still keep me active. Luckily with how the food’s prepared and the quality of it, it’s able to fall into that category. I’m definitely excited for that.”
Young has been making business moves non-stop this year. As previously reported by AfroTech, he signed a contract with the Jordan Brand, which landed him a multi-year footwear and apparel deal. Signing with the company placed him in the company of fellow NFL athletes including Davante Adams, Jamal Adams, Chase Claypool, Stefon Diggs, Melvin Ingram, Cam Jordan, Tyrann Mathieu, Kyle Pitts, Dak Prescott, Deebo Samuel, Bobby Wagner, and Devin White.
Young’s name, image, and likeness (NIL) deals include Nissan, Beats by Dre, Dr Pepper, Fanatics, Celsius Drink, and more — bringing his NIL valuation to $3.5 million, according to On3. Additionally, he previously teamed up with sports drink brand BodyArmor.
“I will always be a Lakers fan and definitely a huge Kobe [Bryant] fan,” Young told Sportico. “To have that connection with BodyArmor, which he was so involved in, means the world to me.”
Before becoming the No. 1 NFL Draft pick in 2023, Young also snagged his own Snickers ice cream.
“It’s a dream come true to see a SNICKERS Ice Cream bar with my name on it,” Young said, according to a press release. “I am beyond excited to be part of the 2023 NFL Draft alongside SNICKERS Ice Cream and can’t wait to share our SNICKERS Bryce Cream Bars with fans.”
