The numbers once again prove that the Cardi B effect is real.
According to Billboard, Latto is the latest fellow emcee to reap the benefits of enlisting the Bronx native on the remix of her hit single “Put It On Da Floor.”
The original track debuted during Latto’s Coachella set in April 2023, and while it didn’t chart, the streams for “Put It On Da Floor Again” featuring Cardi B are through the roof, per the outlet.
Following its release on June 2, the song earned 3.92 million on-demand streams in the U.S., which was a 554% jump compared to streams reported the day before.

The Cardi B Touch
What’s more, the sizzling remix is the No. 1 trending in music on YouTube and has drawn in more than 2.5 million streams via Spotify (as of this writing). Additionally, it has quickly become a viral sound on TikTok. At this time, the amount of videos using the song is 137,000 and counting.
“Thank you guys for all the love and support,” wrote Cardi B in a tweet shortly after the song was released. “It’s been a minute, but this motivated me to drop more music. PUT IT ON DA FLOOR AGAIN OUT NOW.”
The video for the track even features a cameo from Lousiana State University women’s basketball superstar Angel Reese.
As previously reported by AfroTech, Cardi B appears to have the Midas touch when it comes to hopping on any song as a guest emcee.
In October 2022, newcomer GloRilla landed her first Top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart thanks to her collaboration with Cardi B for “Tomorrow 2.”
“Shout out to my motherf-king cousin Cardi B,” said the Memphis rapper in an Instagram video following the milestone. “Shout out Bardi Gang. Shout to the GloRidaz. Shout out to everybody that supported our song and got us up there. Just feeling super blessed. I just thank y’all. And let’s run it up to No.1.”
While Cardi B has not dropped an album since her debut project, “Invasion of Privacy,” hit the streets in April 2018, she certainly has never left the limelight.
A Multifaceted Queen
From launching a successful vodka-infused whipped cream line through Whipshots to being tapped as Playboy magazine’s first-ever creative director in residence, the “Bodak Yellow” emcee stays booked and busy.
She also admitted to bringing in millions with only one project under her belt, and from the looks of it, Cardi B has no plans of letting up anytime soon.
