Chatdesk continues to soar to new heights!
Just after the customer support tool finished a year of extraordinary revenue growth, Chatdesk — co-founded by Andrew Olaleye and Aneto Okonkwo — has announced the raise of a $7 million Series A funding round. Thanks to the new funding, the company plans to continue improving customer success and grow the team while creating more jobs in the process.
“We’re grateful to our customers and will use the funds to grow our team, help more brands and create even more jobs,” said Chatdesk Co-Founder and CEO Aneto Okonkwo in an official press release shared with AfroTech.
What is Chatdesk?
With the looming suspicion that artificial intelligence will soon be the cause of job loss, Chatdesk uses the technology to create jobs through its Chatdesk Experts.
The platform, founded in 2016, continues to take customer support teams to new heights through the combination of machine-learning and U.S.-based agents in turn helping e-commerce brands reach more than 90 percent in customer satisfaction.
Chatdesk’s software connects across any brand platform including social media, email, SMS, and messaging chats to make customer support ticket backing a smoother process with the main goal of increasing customer conversion which the company has done effectively by 15 percent.
Funding Round Success
In its latest funding round led by Cultivation Capital, Chatdesk secured $7 million in funding.
The companies that have been able to scale their customer support while driving sales thanks to Chatdesk include Think, Shea Moisture, Factor Meals, Mented Cosmetics, and Moo.com.

Other participating investors in the round include Harlem Capital, Serena Ventures, Menlo Ventures, Stormbreaker Ventures, and Fika Ventures.
