Young people are more curious than ever about how to achieve financial freedom. Thanks to Marsai Martin’s new digital venture, she’s helping kids her age learn everything they need to know about money management.
The Hollywood actress announced that she’s teamed up with Verizon Media’s Gen Z platform, In The Know, to launch “Money With Marsai Martin” — a video finance series hosting honest and candid conversations about financial wellness for young people. From the importance of setting financial goals early on to the benefits of having a side hustle, Martin is using her platform to spread her knowledge of wealth.
“Becoming financially independent has been such an important part of my journey both personally and professionally, so I’m excited to partner with In The Know to share what I’ve learned from my experiences with people my own age,” Martin said in a statement. “As one of the most successful and entrepreneurial generations in history, it’s important for us to prioritize financial literacy and educate young people on the tools and strategies they need to succeed.”
In The Know has been exploring a variety of content and topics from young Black and brown voices since its inception — including well-known stars like Coi LeRay, Brett Gray, Draya Michele, Mj Rodriguez and others. The media company’s hope for Martin’s new series is to shed more light on a crucial topic for the current and future generations.
“In The Know is focused on creating original series and content that spotlights diverse voices and supports diverse businesses,” said Andrea Wasserman — head of global commerce, Verizon Media — in a statement. “Building on our successful original content series thus far, Money With Marsai Martin will address an essential topic, not only for diverse audiences, but for younger viewers, too. We’re excited to partner with Marsai Martin, who can share her unique perspective on financial prowess.”

As a young, successful Hollywood actress, Martin received an early introduction to the finance world and can now offer a unique teenage perspective for her target audience. Unlike traditional finance resources, the “Black-ish” star is using her new series to share her own insight as well as the input of experts on topics outside of standard money curriculum.
According to Black Enterprise, “Money With Marsai Martin” will feature guests such as The Breakfast Club’s DJ Envy, financial activist Dasha Kennedy, Hollywood business manager Humble Lukanga, serial entrepreneur Dawn Dickson-Akpoghene and many more.
Martin’s new series is available to watch now on In The Know.
