Maybe what it takes to be the “biggest boss,” a.k.a Rick Ross, can be taught after all.
Class is officially in session to gain knowledge on Rick Ross’ success of transitioning from a force in Hip-Hop to a businessman as Georgia State’s College of Law students will be able to sign up for a course on his life, according to Fox 5 Atlanta.
As previously reported by AFROTECH, the Maybach Music Group founder’s business portfolio includes property investments, cannabis, cattle ownership, Wingstop, and more.
“As a lover of rap music, hip-hop culture and in celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Hip-Hop, I could not think of a better time to study the career of a visionary like Rick Ross,” said Professor Mo Ivory, director of the college’s Entertainment, Sports & Media Law Initiative, according to Fox 5 Atlanta.
She continued, “When I began my research on Ross, I realized early on that my students would learn about a businessman who turned his love of music into an empire that includes massive real estate holdings, food and beverage franchises, investments in the car and bike industry, literary works and corporate equity ownership.”
The course titled the “Legal Life Of…” will be offered during the fall semester, the outlet details. Previous courses at Georgia State’s College of Law have taught on the careers of Steve Harvey, Ludacris, and Kandi Burruss.
In the fall, you’ll also be able to catch Rick Ross on stage at AFROTECH Conference 2023, held from Nov. 1-5. He is set to headline the music stage in Austin, TX.
