A pair of sneakers once worn by basketball legend Michael Jordan in 1996 has sold for nearly six figures.
Jordan 11 "Concords"
Business Insider reports the signed Jordan 11 “Concords” went for $92,135 through Rally.
According to the company’s website, the marketplace turns items, including watches and sneakers, among others “into a company” and splits them into equity shares for collectors to purchase.
Initially, the Jordan 11 “Concords” had an offer of $65,000, which was then met with another offer valued at $70,000. The buyers battled it out until one reigned supreme with the nearly six-digit offer.
Shareholders Doubled Their Investment
In addition, this meant 54 shareholders tied to the rare collectible have gained significant profit, nearly doubling their investment.
This won’t be the first time Jordan’s collectible made some noise in the marketplace.
Back in 2021, Jordan 3s, also worn by the six-time NBA Champion, reportedly sold for $61,500. Shareholders reveled in a profit of 180 percent.
The Continued Success Of Michael Jordan's Memorabilia
As AfroTech previously mentioned, a game-worn patch card, also sporting Jordan’s signature, went for $2.7 million through Ken Goldin, founder of Goldin Auctions.
In addition, CBS Sports reports that Jordan’s Jersey worn during the 1998 NBA Finals sold for $10.1 million at Sotheby’s auction house.
As a result, the collectible became the highest-valued game-worn sports memorabilia ever sold.

“In the weeks since we announced the auction, there’s been palpable excitement from not only sports fans, but collectors alike who are eager to own a rarified piece of history,” Brahm Wachter, Sotheby’s head of streetwear and modern collectible, told ABC News at the time. “[The] record-breaking result, with an astounding 20 bids, solidifies Michael Jordan as the undisputed GOAT, proving his name and incomparable legacy is just as relevant as it was nearly 25 years ago.”
