On Tuesday, Michelle Obama, took to her Twitter to post a throwback photo of her prom night challenging individuals to join in on the #PromChallenge, an effort centered around encouraging others to post their prom photos and spreading the word to teachers and students to register to vote.

The Prom Challenge is a part of Michelle Obama’s When We All Vote campaign, a nonprofit centered around increasing voter participation and closing the race and age voting gap by changing the culture around voting. The former First Lady serves as co-chair alongside Janelle Monáe, Chris Paul, Shonda Rhimes, Kerry Washington, and Tracee Ellis Ross.
When We All Vote also shared how joining the challenge could win a high school up to $5,000 in a caption on their Instagram.

Tell us how you’re registering students to vote and your high school could receive up to $5,000 for an epic prom ???Click the link in our bio to learn more and submit your application by March 13th.”
