Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield are entering the ring for a new fight… the legalization of cannabis.

The boxing sensations once shared the ring during the infamous moment in which Tyson bit a chunk of Holyfield’s ear off during a battle for the heavyweight title in 1997. Now, in just a little over two decades, they’re at it again…but this time it’s for “Holy Ears” – THC and Delta-8 THC-infused edibles that are, ironically, in the shape of bitten ears. The product is set to launch via Tyson 2.0, the cannabis company led by the sports icon.

Introducing Holy Ears

Despite being a heavy champion for the legalization of cannabis, Tyson says all the credit for the latest endeavor has to go to his wife, Kiki, who drew up the idea to present “Holy Ears” as a product.

“I said, ‘That’s awesome.’ Then, we played with it, we released it, it was an immediate success,” said Tyson, noting the evolution of the gummies which were initially called “Mike Bites.” “It was immediate success, and so I was saying, ‘Why don’t Evander get involved too.'”

Entering The World of Cannabis

While Holyfield wasn’t too keen to the idea due to his lack of knowledge surrounding the world of cannabis, he was open to becoming educating in the space and is happy that he did so because it affords him the opportunity to help others.

“They said it’s about helping people,” said Holyfield. “So I was like, ‘I ain’t got no problem helping people.’ I didn’t know if it was something that I had to act like I was smoking reefer. I realized it is for helping somebody else. So the fact that [it was] something that helped somebody else, I was fine with that.”
