What Is Squire?
Thanks to Squire, businesses are able to fully integrate their business into a system that allows them to not only increase revenue but enhance the customer experience for clientele. Additionally, the platform offers contactless payments, an option to add gratuity to transactions, as well as virtual waiting rooms.
Despite all of this success, the founders have been very vocal about the steps that it took to get to this place, specifically, the leaps of faith that granted them the opportunity to be where they are today.
In a previous interview with AfroTech, Squire Co-founder Dave Salvant recalled coming up with the idea while in business school before ultimately dropping out.
“My co-founder was working at a law firm and quit his job,” he told us in 2018. “We had to figure out if we believed strongly enough in this to leave our jobs and institutions – people think about that all the time.”
Despite taking a hit at the top of the COVID-19 pandemic, Squire has received tremendous support through funding from ICONIQ Capital, Trinity Ventures, and a host of others.
Now, they are reaping the fruits of their labor and all of the dedication, hard work, and faith continue to pay off.
“As we celebrate, we set our sights on the next billion(s),” said LaRon. “It’s a marathon, not a sprint, and we’re committed to serving the barbering community for the long haul.”
