Kanye West's Latest Tech Launch Gives Fans More Control Over The Artist's Album Rollout Than Ever Before

Kanye West’s fans are getting more hands-on with the album rollout process than we’ve ever seen before, giving them a chance to have a say in what the final product will be. According to a report from Complex, fans now have the ability to “customize any song” from West’s “Donda” album through a $200 stem player launched by the artist himself. This new technology gives them the power to “control vocals, drums, bass, and samples” and even “isolate parts, add effects, [and] split any song into stems.” The device — now available for purchase on West’s website — has bluetooth capabilities and an audio jack for speakers, as well as features that allow consumers to both save and share customized mixes from the album. It will reportedly ship out along with the new album, which still doesn’t have a confirmed release date.
