Anheuser-Busch Foundation Donates $200K To UNCF To Help HBCU Students Graduate

Thanks to this partnership, students will receive funding to ensure they will reach the finish line at their university. According to a press release, the Anheuser-Busch Foundation has donated $200,000 to the United Negro College Fund (UNCF) for the second year in a row. The investment will allocate up to $2,500 for students attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) who need funding to fulfill their degree requirements. As AfroTech previously reported, the retail giant announced this past April, that it will provide $2 billion in support toward products from over 500 Black-owned businesses. The UNCF (United Negro College Fund) has made history, today, with the naming of Milton H. Jones, Jr. as the Chair of the Board of Directors. In a press release announcement, it was revealed that Jones — an Atlanta businessman known for his work with Peachtree Providence Partners, as well as a longtime civic leader — is the first Black man to hold the position of Chair of the Board of Directors.
